Government of Ghana Settles DDEP Bondholders

Government of Ghana Settles DDEP Bondholders through Payment-In-Cash (PIC) coupon of GH56.081 billion to all Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) bondholders. President Mahama directs Ministry of Finance to settle DDEP Coupons and build debt buffers through Sinking Fund. Following a directive from President John Dramani Mahama, the Ministry of Finance has today, 17th February 2025, honoured the Payment-In-Cash (PIC) coupon of GH56.081 billion to all Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) bondholders. Government has also honoured the Payment-In-Kind (PIK) portion of GHS3.46 billion, deposited into the respective bondholders' securities accounts in line with the DDEP Memorandum. Additionally, Government has also paid into the Debt Service Recovery Cedi Account (Sinking Fund) an amount of GHS9.7 billion as a buffer for the 5th DDEP coupon that will fall due in July and August, 2025. The Speaker of Parliament of Ghana in the person of Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, has suspended the Majority Chief Whip, Minority Chief Whip ie Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor and Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh. The Speaker of the house has suspended them for two weeks immediately because of the brawl that happened yesterday Thursday, 30th January 2025 over the vetting of already invited nominee for Foreign Affairs Ministry, Sam Okudjeto Ablakwa, the current MP for North Tongu Constituency. Hon Tampuli and Hon Jerry Ahmed has also been suspended alongside the others involved in the incident that happened yesterday.

(GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana, (ECG) wish to inform the public that due to a reduction in gas supply from Nigeria since yesterday, Wednesday 12th June, 2024 some areas across the country have experienced interruption in power supply. The West Africa Gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo), in a statement, has explained that the reduction in gas supply was due to maintenance works being undertaken by a gas supplier in Nigeria and is projected to last three (3) weeks.  Notorious Woman Killer Arrested At Manya Krobo. UPDATE🚨:   A notorious 35 years old k!ller, Richard Tetteh has been arrested for k!ll!ng 3 women in the Krobo area. Richard claims that he was hired by a chop bar food vendor to k!ll the women and extract fluids from their private parts. He was responsible for women k!lled at Otorkporlu in February 2, first and second weeks in April at Nuaso Odjam Aklomuase and Sekesua respectively. A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found dead and partially unclothed. The shocking scene was stumbled upon by members of the Otorkporlu community, revealing that the victim had endured brutal acts, including the gruesome removal of her tongue and private parts. Off the Odumase-Asesewa highway in the Eastern Region, close to the Otorkporlu Bridge, a lady in her 30s has been found dead and half dressed.

COCOBOD REACTS TO VIRAL KEYBOARD PURCHASE

 In response to a memo circulating from the Information Systems Department of the Board, the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) issued a statement clarifying that the management has not yet authorized the purchase of iPad keyboards for its Board of Directors.  COCOBOD emphasized that no procurement transactions have taken place regarding this matter.
