 The 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is set to begin in few months time.

In the NSMQ, a Seeded School is one that progresses from the preliminary stages to the one-eighth and quarter-finals. This means that schools emerging victorious in their one-eighth stage contests automatically attain the esteemed status of a seeded school for the subsequent year, offering the distinct advantage of bypassing regional championships and directly awaiting their opponents on the national stage.

The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) stands as a prestigious annual competition organized by Primetime Limited and sponsored by the Ghana Education Service in collaboration with Goil PLC. Supported by A.T, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, and Pepsodent, the NSMQ aims to promote the study of science and mathematics among students while fostering healthy competition among schools.

Since its inception in 1993, the NSMQ has evolved into one of the most prominent academic competitions in Ghana, attracting widespread attention and participation. The competition format includes multiple-choice, true/false, and problem-solving questions, as well as bonus rounds where teams can earn additional points.
