Dear Dr. Ofri-Cabeng!

RE: TERMINATION OF OFFICE AND HANDING OVER

Reference is made to your appointment letter dated 18 July, 2019, issued by the Public Services Commission.

In accordance with paragraph 8 of the said appointment letter, I regret to inform you that the President has terminated your appointment effective 15th April, 2024 with three (3) months salary in lieu of notice.

You are directed to hand over your office to Mr. Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo and proceed to collect any terminal benefits you may be entitled to.

To ensure a smooth transition, kindly hand over and cease to act as the Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) no later than close of business on Monday, 15th April, 2024.

The President thanks you for your service to the nation and extends his best wishes.

Government Commences Salary Negotiations for Public Sector Workers. TRIPARTITE COMMITTEE COMMENCES WAGE NEGOTIATIONS. The National Tripartite Committee, represented by Government, Employers, and Organised Labour/Associations, commenced negotiations on the determination of the 2025 Minimum Wage yesterday, Monday, February 03, 2025. Negotiations for base pay (public sector salaries) will follow that of the minimum wage. Given that negations for both the minimum wage and the base pay for the 2025 financial year are behind schedule - as they were expected to be completed by the end of April 2024, per the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act-Government is calling on social partners (government, employers, organised labour) to work expeditiously to complete the negotiations in time to inform the 2025 Budget.
